Here are some tips and tricks on how to use a Bee Shield™ most effectively!
When to apply:
Apply a Bee Shield™ to a hive when fall temperatures are consistently 40-50°F and remove when spring temperatures are consistently 40-50°F.
Setting up your hive:
The diagram below shows how a Bee Shield™ fits to a hive. The hive should have a 2” bottom board porch that overhangs the stand by 2”. The hives inner cover should have a small hole for proper ventilation.
How to attach:
The Bee Shield™ includes two clips that screw into the bottom super. Screw next to the attachment tabs on the Bee Shield™ and latch to secure.
